This acne laser treatment kills acne bacteria, reduces fresh acne scars and supports the healing process thanks to innovative light therapy.
Kill, reduce, cure.
Ingenious alternative to antibiotic acne therapy, because with this special light therapy we declare war on acne bacteria! The affected areas, or even the whole face, are treated with broadband pulsed light (IPL) with a specific wavelength spectrum. As a result, the bacteria responsible for acne are killed and the existing acne inflammations can heal as a result. Here’s how it happens: Propionibacterium acnes store dyes (porphyrins), which are recognized by the wavelength of the IPL and lead to the killing of these bacteria (the principle can be understood similarly to laser hair removal only that the laser works with only one specific wavelength). At the same time, there will be a significant improvement of fresh acne scars, because a strong regeneration process is also started and the IPL also reacts with the dye in the scar and lightens it.
IPL treatments help reduce bacteria on the skin and relieve inflammation associated with acne. This special light energy targets and activates the porphyrins in the bacteria. Porphyrins are light-sensitive compounds present in acne bacteria. When activated by the IPL light, they release a reactive oxygen compound that eventually kills the bacteria.
